Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand. It is considered one of the most liveable cities in the world and boasts a population of 1.6 million residents. That figure does not include fellow travellers and tourists. It’s New Zealands commercial hub and several big businesses base their offices in Auckland.
Auckland ranks 3rd in the world quality of living survey and has held that position since 2012.
Being the biggest city in New Zealand, Auckland has a huge variety of cafes, bars and restaurants so it’s a go to place for any foodies. Most of Aucklands residents live within the city, living that urban lifestyle, but you don’t have to travel to far to get that rural feel.
There are lots of job opportunities within Auckland. It has a great climate and a stunning natural environment due to the fact its located between two harbours. There are plenty of beaches surrounding Auckland, which makes it a great place to live. The only downsides to Auckland is the traffic during rush hour and the property prices which average at around $1m NZD for an average sized house.
