Hawkes Bay

Things to do in Hawkes Bay

Hawkes Bay region is on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand.
It was named by Captain James Cook himself in honour of Admiral Edward Hawke.

Hawkes Bay region has a total population of around 180,000 with 68,00 of those living in Napier, it’s biggest city.
Five major rivers flow into Hawkes Bay including my favourite the Wairoa River.

Commonly known as New Zealands food and wine country.  There is a lot to see and do if you like the outdoors or if you’re a fan of Art Deco, which is more prominent in Napier if you take a look at some of the local architecture.
