Marlborough

Things to do in Marlborough

Marlborough is located in the north east of the South Island of New Zealand.  The largest town in the Marlborough region is Blenheim.  The region has a population of approx. 52,000 people.

Marlborough is know for its dry climate, the Marlborough sounds and its wine.

The small town of Picton is the main port for the ferry that transports passengers from the South Island to the North Island.  It can get very busy in this small town, but it’s also very idyllic and the ferry journey through Marlborough sounds is beautiful.
