Wellington

Things to do in Wellington

The Wellington region is at the southern most point of New Zealands North Island.  Home to the countries capital city of the same name Wellington.  The regions population is around 550,00 people.  With Wellington housing 216,000.  So almost half of the region.

The city of Wellington is the capital of New Zealand and the worlds windiest city.  Seriously.  YouTube Wellington windy city, you’ll see what we mean.
The CBD is located around Wellington Harbour and we have to admit, on a good summers day it is hard to beat Wellington for a place to live or visit.  It is beautiful.  Great shops, restaurants and cafes, amazing places to visit and things to do and see.

Around Wellington you have the Kapiti coast, the Rimutaka and Taraua ranges as well as the Ruamahanga river and Lake Wairarapa.
